The 2024 Spartan Race Schedule is out!

2024 is right around the corner. That means new resolutions, goals, and possibilities. The New Year is a fresh start to re-focus on our fitness goals and tackle new challenges. If you’ve never done it before, a Spartan Race is a great way to challenge yourself.

The Spartan Race Schedule for 2024 promises to be a test of strength, endurance, and mental grit. With events scheduled across diverse locations, participants can anticipate a year filled with new obstacles and old favorites. Let’s dive into the details of the Spartan Race Schedule 2024 and the events that will push participants to their limits.

January

Start the new year off with a bang! The SoCal Trifecta is the first of several trifecta weekends lined up for 2024.

January 27-28

  • Location: Lake Perris State Recreation Area, CA. Lake Perris sits about 30 miles north of Temecula and about 30 minutes southeast of Riverside. The weather will be better than most other locations this early in the year but still plan on dressing warmly. 
  • Events: Sprint, Super, Beast, and Kids

February

Unsurprisingly, most of the winter races occur in the southwest and southeast. February is the perfect time to take on races in Arizona, Florida, and California.

February 17-18

  • Location: Fort McDowell, AZ. The Fort McDowell Rodeo Grounds is about 40 minutes from Phoenix, making it an ideal location for those traveling in from out of town.

February 24-25

  • Location: Jacksonville, FL. The event will be held at Diamond D. Ranch just southwest of downtown Jacksonville, about 12 minutes from the airport, making it an easy commute for out-of-towners.
  • Events: Sprint, Super, Kids, 10K Trail

February 24-25

  • Location: Los Angeles, CA. The event takes place at Dodger Stadium in downtown LA. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an easy commute in LA, so be prepared for traffic.

March

March is one of the biggest months of the year for Spartan Racers. With four events over the month, there’s something for everyone!

March 9-10

  • Location: Houston, TX. The event occurs at 7IL Rank, about 80 miles west of downtown Houston.
  • Events: Sprint, Super, Beast, Kids

March 16-17

  • Location 1: Atlanta, GA. This Trifecta Weekend will be held at the George International Horse Park, which is approximately 40 miles away from the Atlanta International Airport.

March 16-17

  • Location 2: Las Vegas, NV. The event will be held at Nevada State University, about 20 miles southeast of Las Vegas in Henderson, NV.
  • Events: Sprint, Super, Kids

March 30-31

  • Location: San Jose, CA. This event takes place at the Woodward Reservoir Park. It’s unclear why they are calling this location San Jose, as the park is over 100 miles from downtown San Jose.

April

Missed your favorite race last month? Don’t worry; there’s plenty more opportunity to run a race or two or three in April.

April 6-7

  • Location: Charlotte, NC. This event occurs at Porter Farms, about 30 miles outside downtown Charlotte.
  • Events: Sprint, Super, Kids, 4-Hour Hurricane Heat

April 13-14

  • Location: San Diego, CA. This event occurs at Pala Fox Raceway, 50 miles north of downtown San Diego.

  • Location: Palm Beach, FL. This event takes place at Sunset Amphitheater, 35 miles south of downtown Palm Beach.

April 27-28

May 

May 17-19 offers three locations and nearly every type of Spartan race. The sun is out, the birds are singing, and you will be crawling through mud and climbing over obstacles. Is there any better way to spend the spring?

May 4-5

  • Location: Fayetteville, NC. This event takes place at McCormick Farms, about 12 miles north of downtown Fayetteville.
  • Events: Sprint, Super, Beast, Ultra, Kids

May 17-19

  • Location 1: Austin, TX. This event occurs at Reveille Peak Ranch, 60 miles northwest of Austin.

June offers a ton of events spread throughout the country. The West Coast, Mid-West, and East Coast can all get dirty this month!

August is the biggest month of the year for Spartans. With six different event options throughout the month, this is your chance to achieve that New Year’s resolution before the end of the year.

August 3-4

  • Location: Mill Spring, NC. This event occurs at the Tryon Equestrian Center, 50 miles east of Asheville.

September

Things are starting to cool off, making September the perfect time to traverse rugged terrain and cross the finish line of your favorite race. Bring the kids along because every event in September offers kid’s races.

  • Location: Washington D.C. This event takes place at the Maryland International Raceway, approximately 50 miles south of Washington D.C..

October

Things are starting to slow down as we reach the end of the year. There’s still plenty of time to run your first spartan sprint before the race season comes to an end.

  • Location: Nashville, TN. This event takes place at Neal Farms, approximately 40 miles east of Nashville.

November

November is the final big month before the end of the year. Don’t put off your first race until the New Year. You may have limited time, but there are five opportunities in November to get to that start line. There’s no better time than now!

Sebring, FL, is it! Your final chance to run an obstacle race in 2024. There’s always a chance Spartan will add another race or two, but it looks like, for North America, This is the last obstacle course of the year.

2024 Spartan Race Schedule

2024 has a ton of epic events throughout the year, from Sprints to Ultras, from first-time racers to elite athletes; there is something for everyone!

Don’t miss your chance to run through a dense forest or climb steep inclines. If you’ve done a Spartan race in the past, pick a longer distance race this year or improve your race time on your favorite course. Race passes go up in cost starting December 31, 2023.
