Obstacle Course Racing

Highlander is for everyday athletes training for OCR events. Whether it’s your first big race or you’re ready to tackle an ultra, this plan series blends smart endurance work, strength training, and obstacle-specific prep.

You’ll get 4+ runs and 3 strength sessions each week, designed by a certified strength & conditioning coach with OCR experience. All you need is a heart rate monitor, some basic gym gear, and the grit to show up. No fluff. No guesswork. Just a clear, proven path to a stronger, more capable you.

Trail Ranger Plans

Trail Racing

Trail Ranger plans are for runners training for trail races—from 10Ks to full marathons. Each plan helps you build strength, endurance, and confidence on varied terrain, with a clear weekly structure that fits your life and leads to real progress.

Plans include 4+ runs and 3 strength sessions per week, written by a certified strength & conditioning coach. You’ll train with purpose using simple tools: a place to run (trail, road, or treadmill) and basic gym equipment at home or in the gym.

Strength & Conditioning Plans

Strength + Hybrid

Whether you’re chasing strength, all-day endurance, or just want to feel ready for anything, these plans deliver. Grizzly Strong builds raw, functional strength. Mountain Devil blends strength and conditioning into a hybrid program for athletes who want it all—power, grit, and durability.

These 12–16 week plans are built by a certified strength & conditioning coach to help you train with purpose—no race required. All you need is acess to a gym or a home gym set up.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the length of customized plans?

The length of the plan is determined by the race, but most plans are 16 weeks.

What do I need to get started?

You will need access to a gym or home gym that includes a barbell with weights and dumbbells at a minum.

I also recommend having a heart rate monitor.  A chest strap heart rate monitor is ideal, but a wrist watch heart rate monitor/watch will also work.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes! If you are not satisfied with your plan, you can submit a refund request through TrainingPeaks or send Coach Buck an email at support@outdoormusclefit.com

Do you offer in person coaching?

I offer limited in-person coaching slots for residents based in the Seattle/Tacoma area. In-person coaching clients pay the same monthly rate as remote clients with the option of purchasing in-person sessions as needed.
